Terms
No checkout, no small print traps. A conversation, a quote, an invoice, and a piece that arrives the way it left. Here is the whole arrangement.
The Seller
SIA “Bebradambis”, registration No. 50203322971, Nomaļu iela 12, Egļupe, Inčukalna pagasts, Siguldas novads, LV-2141, Latvia. Contact: hello@kaila.boutique, +371 26 619 408.
Prices
Smaller works and single-colour finishes from €350. Larger works from €550. Full-body casts from €750.
The exact quote comes with the piece (by size, finish and edition), together with shipping to your destination, before anything is paid. Prices are in euros; no VAT is added (the seller is not VAT-registered). Import duties outside the EU are the buyer’s, as set out in Shipping.
Ordering & Payment
Everything starts with an enquiry. You receive a written offer; if it suits, an invoice follows. Payment is by bank transfer; other methods by agreement.
Every piece is paid in full in advance. A piece in stock ships on payment. A made-to-order piece (Atelier, Limited Edition or Custom Made) takes its place in the calendar once paid.
A commission may be cancelled for a full refund until its calendar month begins. Once casting has started, the payment is final; the work exists by then.
The 14-Day Return
If you buy a ready-made Edition piece at a distance as a consumer, you may withdraw within 14 days of delivery without giving a reason: write to hello@kaila.boutique within that window. The piece returns undamaged, in its original crate, at your cost; the price and the original standard delivery are refunded within 14 days of the piece reaching the atelier.
Made-to-order work (Atelier one-offs, numbered pieces produced for your order, and Custom Made commissions) is made to your specification and is exempt from withdrawal under EU distance-selling rules (Directive 2011/83/EU, Art. 16(c)). The line between the two is stated on the offer, in writing, before you pay.
Damage in Transit
Every crate is insured door to door. If a piece arrives damaged: keep all packaging, photograph the crate and the piece, and write to us within 48 hours of delivery. We repair, replace or refund (your choice, where the work allows it), and we handle the insurance claim; you handle nothing.
The Work Itself
Every KAILA is cast and finished by hand. Small variations in patina, gilding and colour between pieces, and against catalogue photographs, are the nature of the work, not defects. Seams, bubbles and pressure marks are the signature of the process and stay in, as stated with every piece.
Every piece carries its series number marked inside the cast and arrives with its written story: the series, the finish, the way the cast was taken.
Statutory consumer rights regarding goods that do not conform to the contract remain untouched by this clause.
Copyright
Buying a piece buys the piece. Copyright in the work stays with the sculptor: reproduction, casting from the piece, and commercial photography require written permission. Photographing your own KAILA in your own home requires nothing at all.
Law & Disputes
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Latvia. Consumers may turn to the Consumer Rights Protection Centre (ptac.gov.lv) or the EU online dispute resolution platform. Failing all else, the courts of Latvia.
A conversation with hello@kaila.boutique resolves most things faster than any of the above.
Effective 20 August 2026. If these terms change, existing orders keep the terms they were made under.
